    Cest dans cette maison de 2 pièces, construite par son père Vernon qu'Elvis naquit le 8 janvier 1935, à Tupelo, dans le Mississippi. C'est à tupelo qu'il aura sa première guitare, le jour de son onzième anniversaire. C'est également là qu'il découvrira le gospel à l'église, mais aussi le blues, dans les quartiers noirs de la ville.
